The house is situated on the square Charles de Gaulle. On this charming square is a stone slab commemorating General de Gaulle's first speech on liberated french soil on the 14th June 1944. Around the square are : the Hotel de la Sous-Préfecture ( administrative centre), a monument to Our Lady of Bayeux ( the Virgin Mary), and a statue of Alain Chartier ( 1386-1449) a famous historian, poet and patriot.
The Bed and Breakfast " Logis les Remparts" is in the heart of Bayeux, at a stone's throw, the Bayeux Tapestry, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Old Bayeux, ...
The three rooms are quiet and comfortable. You can take a break between the many activities which the capital of the Bessin has to offer.
